Some of them are not terribly applicable to the world at the moment, but they&#8217;ll be handy for the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a href=\"http:\/\/gleewood.org\/seeking\/adapting\/making-the-most-of-it\/\">Making the most of it <\/a>: Ideas for making the most of staying at home and the unusual situation we find ourselves in as a world in spring 2020. <\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/gleewood.org\/seeking\/connecting\/why-meet-first\/\">Why meet first? <\/a>Why groups usually want an initial meeting with people interested in the group. <\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/gleewood.org\/seeking\/connecting\/cautions-when-looking-for-others\/\">Cautions when looking for connections.<\/a> Many people will be glad to help you &#8211; but you should be cautious of some kinds of situations. <\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/gleewood.org\/seeking\/learning\/choosing-a-reader-or-practitioner\/\">Choosing a reader or practitioner:<\/a> thoughts on selecting people when you hope to benefit from their skills. <\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/gleewood.org\/seeking\/connecting\/why-a-coven-might-not-be-open-right-now\/\">Why a coven might not be open right now<\/a> (and some things to do if it isn&#8217;t). <\/li><li><a href=\"http:\/\/gleewood.org\/seeking\/adapting\/navigating-events\/\">Navigating events<\/a> if you have triggers or other specific concerns around particular situations. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Last week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>General: <\/strong>Jason Miller has made his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strategicsorcery.net\/courses\/take-back-your-mind\/\">Take Back Your Mind meditation course free through May 1<\/a>. (Email and audio files) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On the practical front<\/strong>, Elise Matthesen, a dear friend, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/lionesselise\/wandering-wire-jewelry-videos-with-lionesselise\">launched a Kickstarter to create a series of videos to share with other people how she does her wandering wire technique<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Kickstarter is for the equipment and editing to do the filming &#8211; she&#8217;s been dealing with increasing health issues, so doing this sooner than later is also important. Anyone who backs at any level (including $1) will get access to the videos for a year (once they&#8217;re made!) before they are released for free to the public, but there are also all sorts of great perks available. (I&#8217;m the Jenett mentioned as helping with the keeping of numbers and lists.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So my week involved a couple of conversations about that with her. Not explicitly witchy, but her techniques work excellently for ritual jewellery, and supporting my friends, definitely also important. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuesday: <\/strong>Did my usual new moon divination reading and a few other small things. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Saturday: <\/strong>Did a Zoom call with my coven &#8211; we started with some chat, then did the first half of the class on Healing (the next class we&#8217;d been planning on.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&#8217;re going to be alternating &#8220;I&#8217;ll have the Zoom room open and we can chat&#8221; and classes for April, Saturday mornings. It&#8217;s a work in progress &#8211; two of my folks are single parents, there&#8217;s a variety of living situations and other people&#8217;s needs in play. (I&#8217;m planning on writing up a &#8220;Coven in the time of Covid-19&#8221; article in a week or so, when I&#8217;ve had a chance to try a few more things.) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This week<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Saturday: <\/strong>Chat with the coven on Saturday<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sunday: <\/strong>A consult for ongoing magical work\/approaches on Sunday, along with an online ritual (led by the person who runs local public rituals.) <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Updates on the site One of the things I got done last weekend was adding several essays I&#8217;ve had mostly written for a while (um, months) and adding them to Seeking.
